Day 23: That’s a lot of sweat
Today I told myself, “No Excuses!” I will get through this hot day and I will do my exercise!
And you know what?
I did it!
A few days ago I did the Total Body Cardio Fix from the 21 day fix workout, and I couldn’t make it all the way through. I had also worked out on an empty stomach and tried jumping into it full blast. Today, my approach was a little more tame. I took each exercise carefully as I didn’t want to over-exert myself too much.
It was definitely the right choice.
You all want to hear some great news?
I weighed in this morning
I love seeing new numbers on the scale! How wonderful it is to break out of the norm!
Here is what the menu looked like:
Ezekiel Flax Bread
Wild Rice and mushrooms
Mango Banana Smoothie
When going over what I had for dinner- the spinach, kale, blueberries and carrots were leftovers from my lunch. I was full off the lamb! And before you start thinking “This girl eats like a bird! I could never have just a small portion of food” Believe me, I’m not one of those girls! I can eat a huge bag of marshmallows, a big greasy burger, a whole plate of fries and still have room for chicken wings.
My workout for the day:
21 Day Fix- Total Body Cardio Fix
Total calories consumed today: 1348
I’ve found that working out on an empty stomach doesn’t work, but I really want to feel this good earlier in the day. After my workout I usually feel pretty good. My muscles are stretched, my heart feels like it’s pumping really well, and I just have so much energy… Great. Now I can have a lot of energy- right before bed!
I think I will need to get up early tomorrow, have some breakfast, then do my workout in the morning before it gets too hot. Tomorrow I work a little later in the day so it might be nice to get a lot of this stuff done early and be able to cross it off my list.
Let’s see if I hold myself to it. Thank you everyone, for being what holds me accountable. I definitely feel a different sense of obligation with posting my plans for eating right and exercising online.
